How to get the FREE Chicken pet from Westfall. This video shows EXACTLY how many times it takes for the NPC Chicken to spawn the pet. From Beginning to End. This is an easter egg that Blizzard put into the World of Warcraft. Horde can get this, but you have to go to the town of Brill in Tyrisfal Glades and buy the chicken feed from the Herbalism Trainer “William Saldean” there… he is wearing a straw hat outside of the blacksmith’s shack. IF there is a chicken there by the well… you can do it with that chicken and get the pet.. otherwise you will have to go to Westfall. To Westfall in Alliance territory at Saldean’s farm. Target a chicken behind the farmhouse and use the /chicken. Using the command /chicken repeatedly (try setting this as a macro), the chicken will eventually tire of your harrassment, and give you a “puzzling look.” Now that you are able to talk to the chicken, you can accept a quest (entitled “Cluck!”) which requires you to find some special chicken feed for your new little friend. Hopefully you already bought it in Brill. before you feed the chicken supposedly you are supposed to /cheer the chicken lays an egg and you pick it up…. now you have a chicken pet.
